What if the scariest things about Halloween aren't the ghosts and goblins, but the real monsters who walk among us?

This gripping book uncovers twenty shocking and disturbing true stories where the night of tricks and treats turned into one of unimaginable terror. From the quiet suburban father who poisons his own son's candy to the masked intruder who uses the holiday as a cover for a brutal attack, these accounts explore the terrifying intersection of celebration and tragedy.

Discover cases of holiday parties that ended in bloodshed, mysterious disappearances on October 31st, and investigations that revealed the darkness hiding in plain sight. Each chapter delves into a different real-life nightmare, proving that the most horrifying tales are the ones that actually happened. If you are fascinated by chilling mysteries and compelling nonfiction, you won't be able to put this book down.

I enjoyed this book. It is well written and the virtual voice narration is well done. Stories are interesting and informative. Some I have heard of before, but details were included that I wasn't aware of.

Well written

The story is ok. Nothing to stand out, but ok. Too bad they chose to use AI to narrate the story. Pronouncing a sur-name four different ways and not able to say 911 correctly will pull me out of any story.

A quirky collection of true crime cases in which the crimes were committed on Halloween. The crimes span decades from the time of my childhood into the last 10 years. Some I remember clearly; some are new to me. The author provides just a brief overview of each, enough to engage he reader without being boring. I appreciate this as a Halloween read. The virtual voice is better than most books. The erroneous inflection can be distracting, but overall not bad.

Better than most virtual voice books.
