Welcome to the Game of Tag: Seven Days to Survive. One Touch to Die.
In the broken city of Prodale, survival for teenagers is determined by the Game of Tag, an annual, lethal competition forced upon every teenager between the ages of twelve and eighteen. Set within the ruined, fenced-in arena known as the Playground, the objective is chillingly simple: Don’t get Tagged. Every participant is forced to fight like a monster just to see another sunrise.

Sixteen-year-old Raquelle Foster, a fierce Scrapper defined by her struggle for survival, enters the Playground with one mission: to protect her fragile twelve-year-old brother, Charlie. But the Game is a curse, not a prize, and no one truly wins—you can only avoid losing.

The Rules Are Simple. The Stakes Are Absolute. Each player is implanted with a circular Tag. If the Tag glows red, they are the Tagger (or "It") and must physically touch another player before the clock strikes midnight. If they fail, they die instantly when the clock hits 00:00. The systematic death count is never missed: exactly thirty-five people die every year.

Any player breaking core rules—such as engaging in intentional termination of others, tampering with the clock, or trying to exit the Playground—is immediately forced to Promise Quit, resulting in instant death.

Survival is mandatory. Trust is suicide.

Tag You're It is a dystopian thriller novel written by the 16-year-old Torah Kay. Its bone-chilling concept and suspenseful plot have gained attention from her community. Her eye-catching debut novel continues to get the recognition it deserves.
