"Don’t find us. We’ll find you."

Trauma therapist Kaley Colbert needs a vacation from her job, and a ski trip with her church
singles’ group seems like the perfect way to unplug. But while in the mountains, she learns that
her last client was murdered hours after their meeting, and she wonders if the notes she’s
receiving from a possible stalker hold a more sinister warning.

On the trip, ex-boyfriend and entrepreneur Reef Mitchell wants to give their relationship another
chance, but Kaley questions if his past and priorities could ever mesh with her life. When her
client’s underworld connections catch up with her, she has no choice but trust Reef to help her
stay alive, solve her client’s mystery, and bring the killers to justice.

This was an amazing book using a very good narrator. The suspense was real, the story line moved, the second chance romance found its time, and the hero proved himself. From the single adults retreat to a ski lodge in NC to the Gulf of Mexico. the suspense builds.

Loved all the Tampa references and the plot had the right amount of suspense and wasn’t predictable.

This was my first experience with Kristen Hogrefe Parnell's work, and it was entertaining. Kaley Colbert went on a ski trip with the singles' club from her church. The author's description of the setting was lovely. The issue I had with the story was the main character named Kaley Colbert. She was an educated person, but some of her actions and thought processes didn't make a lot of sense. I appreciated the intense action scenes, but wondered about the resulting trauma, none of which was addressed. Sarah Rogers' narration was fine, and she kept my attention with her performance. I was given a free copy of the audiobook, and I have voluntarily posted this review.

I this second chance romantic suspense, the author keeps you wanting!

Kaley knows she needs a vacation, but what she doesn’t know is how much danger she’s in. Though she’s apprehensive about seeing her ex boyfriend, she decides to go on the ski trip with her church singles group anyway.

Reef, the ski instructor, is excited to see Kaley but then again not because of the pain it reignites.

This is a really good story of second chances with plenty of action to keep you wanting more. With a very strong faith theme, it left me asking the question “is my faith strong?” I loved the characters and I’m hoping Liam will have his own story.

The narrator did a good job in that I was able to distinguish each character throughout the story.

Overall, I found this to be an enjoyable listen and look forward to more by this author.
