Nedra Harris, a 23-year-old business executive, has experienced her share of heartache in her quest to find a soul mate. Just when she’s about to give up on love, she runs into Simeon Mathews, a gentleman she met in college years earlier. She remembers his warm smile and charming nature, but she soon realizes that Simeon possesses a dark side that will eventually make her life a living hell.

Donovon McNeil has been Nedra’s best friend and guardian angel since college. He secretly fell in love with her back then, but decided their friendship was too important to risk ruining. Over the years, Donovon’s feelings for Nedra have grown even stronger, and trying to move on with his life has been difficult. Concealing his love for Nedra from his current lover, Brea Jones, hasn’t been easy. Both she and Simeon are suspicious of the close friendship.

Donovon knew there was something odd about Simeon the moment Nedra introduced them. What he didn’t know was that Simeon would rather see Nedra dead than in the arms of another man.

All of these people were selfish. Donavan although a good man to Nedra was trash to all of his girlfriends. Nedra did not deserve Donovan’s affection because she pushed him to the side far to often. He deserved a happily ever after with someone willing to put him first.

Nedra was a hypocritical cheater and Tyrie was right for cheating in her because she had a full blown relationship on him. All in all it was a good read but the narrator sucked.

I don't get the main character at all. It was ok for her to cheat but she was heartbroken to be cheated. Having strong family and good friends around her she choose to be a victim. She made all classic mistakes there were to mąkę. and she supposed to be Smart.

Narrator sounds like a teenage girl bot grown woman.

Stupid girl

The story was riveting. Just sorry that she was so scared to take this to the cops. Justice was served. Just wished it was not that way. SMH
