When her friend disappears, and the cops seem uninterested in following up the case, a glamorous young woman starts her own investigation. With the help of an autistic child and her ex-lover, she digs deeper into the missing woman's affairs - especially her job as a criminal defense attorney.

The growing list of suspects includes clients, colleagues, family members, and old flames - all of whom have their own reasons to get rid of the woman. And when a socialite with ties to the law firm is found in the Everglades, the trio of sleuths realize that someone is tying up loose ends...and they may be next!

every time I thought I had it figured out it wasn't it had me freaking out throughout the book and the romance was just right. I love Heather Graham

As always a great story from Heather Graham.Holly Fielding would be better suited to read books for teenagers(YA) she was horrible with this book. As a blind person and because the storyline was good I kept listening to the end.

I finished it!

The story was really good but I didn't care for marrator. Have heard a lot better

new narrator

The narrator's cadence was almost monotone. Her narration sounded deliberately careful. I had to stop listening, and just read the rest of the book. The story was good, I liked the characters and plot.

Narrator spoiled the story for me.
