They came to colonize Venus, a hellscape that was just like home. Now they've set their sights on Earth and are bringing the apocalypse with them. Join Jacks, Molly, and the rest of the Hotshots, an elite team fine-tuned to extinguish the fiery threat.

Fast action. Fierce aliens. High-tech warfare. If you love military sci‑fi with heart, heat, and relentless momentum, this invasion starts now.

More about the story.

Humanity’s technological super-evolution was gaining speed even before the Invaders came. Classic supercomputers were giving way to quantum-centric AI clusters. If only the monsters had waited a couple of years. Still, the tech deficit did not diminish our resolve. The people of Earth might just make it through the first round. But even if we do, Molly keeps having a disturbing dream. Or is it a vision? The Hell Gate portal will open with a second wave of Invaders.

You may recall the early 2020s refresh of the UAP hype. If you haven’t been keeping up, a UAP is the same thing as a UFO. Anyway, few military videos were finally released showing craft that defied the known laws of physics. They were military videos, mind. After that, a chorus of insistent voices began asking why nothing was being done about all those scary UFOs romping around in our military airspace. What if it’s the Chinese? The Russians? For crying out loud, a lot of folks said it would be better if the high-tech ships held aliens from another star system. Really? You would rather have inhuman aliens who were probably beyond our understanding flying around? Perhaps in that there is a lesson to be learned. We are a human family and should treat each other accordingly. I suppose an alien invasion would be one way to get the message across.

Here's a hopeful thought. What if those cool high-performance UFOs buzzing around our military bases are ours? They really do seem to show up frequently near military assets. But think about it for a second. Where else would government-sanctioned experimental aircraft be tested? You wouldn’t want one of those tech wonders ending up in the wrong hands. And if our own pilots were kept out of the loop? What better way to test the capabilities of said experimental aircraft? No doubt there would be strict orders to observe certain Rules of Engagement! Rules like, keep your fingers off the triggers, guys, unless fired upon. I suppose it’s something to think about.

Finally, I want to mention the occasional violent scenes. It’s an alien invasion. A war. There is some violence. I try to stay within reasonable boundaries. But some scenes could be too violent for some. Check out my website if you want to get a feel for the level of violence. Maybe before your youngster gets a copy. Peace! hammertrollkin.com.
