RISK. RUIN. REVENGE.

In the mercantile realm of Minarin, greed weaves a tapestry of despair, and a prophecy of destruction draws in discredited wizard Arthur Wells as he attempts to prove his innovative prophesying methods. Armed with his predictions, he finds the reality outside his tower far more puzzling than a simple vision.

While food prices soar, Lee faces starvation in his home in the sunless Moltam Forest. When news of a quest for a relic promises salvation for his family, he throws himself into a world full of danger that he barely understands.

For years, Rejnar has had no choice but to spy for the family that held his daughter captive. After they imprison him and curse his memories, a country set against elves stands between him and the answers he seeks.

Meanwhile, elven souls are disappearing from the reincarnation pool, and Ostara is sent from the elven homeland of Arborea to investigate. Once on Materian soil, though, the temptation of freedom becomes too great to resist.

When these four fates intertwine while fleeing imprisonment and monstrosities, they uncover the threads of a conspiracy stringing them together in one giant web. Tears of Eternity: Foresight is an epic fantasy where answers bring more questions, and characters don’t know who to trust while disaster hides in the shadows one step away.

The Hobbit meets The Witcher in an adventure of discovery with the mystery, politics, and foreboding of a grittier variety.

Sometimes a questionable alliance is better than none at all.

This was a fun, exciting listen. The narrator really brought this to life—-especially Ostara’s singing! I found the world building to be well thought out, but not overbearing. The magic system was unique but (again) not overly complicated. Each character was fleshed out had their own thread of fate, and they felt real which kept me invested. (Arthur’s my favorite!) the mystery of the prison, the brands, and conspiracy at play kept me hooked and listening. I look forward to future installments of this series!!

I really enjoyed this fantasy book. The world and character building were well done. I think this book really set the stage for the series with the characters, political issues, magic, and overall feel. The performance of this book was awesome. Kate Clover did a great job with the character voices. She maintained a good pace and tone throughout the book. Pronunciations were consistent, and I was really impressed by the singing, it just added a little extra to the vibe of the story!
