Although Cassandra King Conroy surely deserved keep her loss of so remarkable a Man private, I will always love her best for her Story & sharing it with all of us who loved Pat Conroy, and now her.

I loved this book

Pat Conroy has been my favorite author since I read my first book of his. No matter the subject, his beautiful prose and irreverent humor make his books wonderful reads. This book by his beloved wife made him so alive - more than “just an author.” The story made me laugh - and then cry. Somehow Cassandra King’s writing is filled with beautiful tender descriptions and very wry humor - much like that of her husband. I look forward to reading more of her books!

I loved it

This was the sweetest love story ever. It makes me so sad for Kassandra King Conroy as it was so obvious how much true love they had for one another. But the fact that they experienced that type of love is a silver lining. Not many people ever find that kind of love.

A Pat Conroy fan for a very long time, I had high expectations. King Ray has written us a wonderful tribute to her true love, our hero. Warm, well-paced, revealing, honoring, hilarious, deeply personal, and inevitably sad.
