This book should be called "seek assistance from an appropriate veterinarian". The author says it about every paragraph. Book had some useful info but wasn't overall helpful to prepare a dog for baby. Lots of vagueness and the majority can already be learned if your dog has taken an introductory training class.

They lost me when the author recommended euthanizing a dog for unwanted aggressive behavior. Coming from a dog owner, I would never do this. I would go through every training program possible before putting a dog down due to a behavior change when their environment has changed. Just like people adjusting to new environment sometimes it requires work to achieve a new level of comfort. I would never recommend this book to any dog owner expecting a new child. We work to build a family and we work to keep a family and that means our dogs.
