Sushi instead of turkey. Kabuki instead of football. Thanksgiving in Tokyo has never looked like this.

Lucy Landish and The Holiday Adventure Club trade pumpkin pie for neon lights as they explore Japan’s bustling capital—diving into cat cafés, robot restaurants, and all the hidden corners of Tokyo that most tourists never find.

But as always, the travelers bring their own stories: Paulette and Minnie, a mother and daughter meeting for the very first time after decades apart, must navigate the fragile hope of reunion—and the weight of a life-changing secret that could shatter it. Meanwhile, Len Bagley returns to Tokyo searching for the girl he fell in love with as a teenager, determined to learn why she disappeared from his life all those years ago.

With love, loss, and adventure colliding against the backdrop of Japan’s dazzling cityscape, Lucy’s eighth holiday trip proves that no matter where you go, the real discoveries are always within the heart.

Pretty good story, and I love the descriptions of Japan. But this would have been so much better had it been read by an actor and not a robot. There are several characters in this book, and they all sound the same! It was very confusing.

Interesting concept!

Virtual Voice is NOT a good option for audio book listening - inflections are incorrect, pronunciation is off and inconsistent. AVOID.

I think the story has potential. it does seem to jump around and doesn't segway well. The AI reader is inconsistent with word comprehension and spelling differences. 1 minute it pronounces something a certain way and the next same word completely different.
