Twenty-two-year-old Alice Andrews is eager to graduate from college and head into the real world. After leaving a party, she is suddenly engulfed in a bright light. Hours later, she finds herself strapped to a bed, being inspected by strange-looking creatures. She soon finds out she is on a planet called Krotev which houses an all-male alien population.

The Krotev aliens apparently kidnap human women with the goal of mating and breeding. The unlucky Alice is assigned to an alien named Kyvan as his mate, and she is determined to never end up in his bed. However, she soon finds herself intrigued by his gentleness and his vow to protect her from harm.

After all, no one can escape being an alien's mate.

Terrible Virtual Voice

I didn’t know what to expect from this series but listened to the end. I guess what strikes me as an accurate review would be to say that these alien men have no idea that earth women are intelligent beings. The males are most concerned with obedience while integrating the women into their patriarchal culture, protecting them, sexual intimacy with a drive to procreate, and pleasure—both their own and their mate’s. There’s plenty of spice and, oddly, a gradual transition in the earth females from rebellion to accepting the alien male culture, adapting to a submissive station in life, and a readiness to bear children. All in all, I enjoyed both books and although the virtual voice narration is pretty bad, I’d listen to a third story if one is written.

OMG ONE OF THE WORST AUDIOBOOK EVER...

storyline, premise is completely horrible. even though this audiobook is free with membership, it was so bad I feel as though I should receive something for having to withstand the horror of listening to it LOL...

It is twisted.

I honestly think something is wrong with this author. She thinks, abused kidnap rape is love. What’s even more twisted is how they put this in romantic section.

Its virtual voice so I always give that a 3 but would never buy a book with virtual voice. I'm not even sure where to start. It could have been good (if you like BDSM), but it came across as abuse. She meets the MMC in college and avoids him as she thinks he's weird. When she goes out on a date, he kidnapped her. Things go down hill from there. When she finally wakes up she branded with a hot iron and then spanked on the same butt within minutes. She's treated as a pet (more BDSM) but he says multiple times, the he will enjoy "breaking her". This is pretty much where I stopped as there is simply no way these 2 could have possibly fallen in love. Of course, he makes her body respond so she must "like" it.

Spanking is not every woman 's turn on!

Physical violence is NOT sexy! This was a disturbing approach to sensuality! If it's so hot why don't we spank men.
