In the warm glow of her candlemaking workshop, Rebecca Lapp never expected her faith and her heart to be tested.

Two years of widowhood have taught the young Amish woman that some fires are meant to burn out. But when master carpenter Elijah Miller arrives in her quiet world, he brings more than just skilled hands and strength, he brings questions that challenge everything she thought she knew.

In the sacred space between faith and doubt, Rebecca discovers that healing comes in unexpected forms. Yet in a community where tradition runs deeper than prayer, even the smallest spark of change can ignite whispers that threaten to consume everything she holds dear.

As Rebecca tends her candles and searches her heart, she must confront the most difficult question of her life: When God closes one door, does He always intend for us to remain in the hallway?

Some flames illuminate the path forward. Others burn away what we thought we couldn't live without. Rebecca must decide which light she's brave enough to follow.

Can a heart once broken learn to trust again? And when love flickers like a flame, will Rebecca dare to let it burn?

A soul-stirring story that explores the sacred mystery of second chances and the courage it takes to trust in divine timing.

A really good book to teach you to trust your faith. When one door closes and another opens, it’s to give you other chances to other opportunities. The narrator also kept my attention! The voice is beautiful! I loved the way she had a different voice for each character!

The Amish widow's Flame by Heather Steele is a heartfelt story about a woman who has lost her husband and child but then finds love again. This was an amazing story and I love that they have it on audio. The narrator made it feel like you were right there in the story when you close your eyes it was like you were going through it yourself you could feel the pain when the character was going through pain or the joy when she was going through happy moments. The way that she changed her voice for every character was amazing. I thought there was more than one narrator when I first started listening to this I had to go back and look. It's just one person. I give this book a 10/10. I highly recommend this to someone who loves sad, romantic books. This way you can just pack your phone around with you and listen to the narrators calm and soothing voice.
