When Christine Daee finds herself homeless, penniless and with no family left she makes her way to Paris to the Opera house, The Palais Garnier, with hopes that an old friend might embrace her. She is taken in and joins the ballet corps - For a job is a job, but her heart is not in it, her true love is for music.
Behind the curtains and scenery lurks something other. A Ghost, a spirit that stalks the passageways and corridors and He has spotted Christine. At first He assumes her to be an irksome child, too curious for her own good. That is until He hears her voice. A deal is made, He will teach her to be the greatest Soprano the world has ever seen, but in return she must be His, body and soul.
