Arthur Kruger, billionaire real estate developer, passed away at the age of 103 in a nursing home. At the reading of his will, in addition to the many millions he left family members, he bequeath his most prized possession to his five children, a locked box.
A locked box that nobody has ever seen or heard of before Arthur Kruger’s death. Shortly after the reading of the will, Kruger family members are being murdered. Speculation is the contents of the box are worth a fortune, but nobody really knows.
Rourke and Diaz dig into the case and soon are entangled in a deadly game of cat and mouse as the hunt for the murderer before he kills again. As Rourke narrows in on a suspect, the tables turn and he and Jane Diaz are now the hunted.

The investigation takes months before Rourke and Diaz catch a real break. The Senator’s daughter and her friend are being held captive on a privately owned island somewhere in the Caribbean.
