This was a truly enjoyable book. I loved the stories and the narration. Very entertaining.

Delightful

These are wonderful stories, but the ending was incomplete. Since we know how the story began, with the sultans wife be Guiling him with stories, the ending should’ve been how that she had saved her people from the execution of the women. This book felt incomplete without it
We all know these wonderful stories, or at least I hope we do. These are wonderful stories, but since it’s a story within a story, they forgot to complete the outer story: that is, they forgot to tell the ending of how Scheherazade saved her people and how the Sultan rewarded her at the end.

Great but incomplete

What disappointed you about The Arabian Nights Entertainments?

I found the reader super irritating, he uses an obnoxious falsetto for every woman and youth in the story and a moronic grumble for every large, old, or authoritative character.

What was your reaction to the ending? (No spoilers please!)

couldn't stand the reader, didn't finish it

What didn’t you like about David McCallion’s performance?

his voice

Any additional comments?

The stories are charming but, particularly with David McCallion's reading style, difficult to follow because the nature of the book is stories within stories within stories.
