My soulmate bought me a sugar cookie… and now, he's not going to let me go.
He wants a mate bond.
I don't.
He's even more stubborn than I am, though. So, I agree to move in with him, for the sake of putting more emotional distance between us.
But the plan backfires.
And it makes me like him more.
If I can't convince him to walk away, I'm eventually going to have to accept a difficult truth:
I've never met anyone I want to avoid less than him.
The Art of Avoiding Your Alpha is a steamy, fun, full-length standalone romance with a happily ever after.

Overall I liked the characters more in this one than book 1. I still was not a complete fan of our FMC but I loved the MMC in this one. We get to know them in book 1, being Love's friend who is in a similar boat with the baddies wanting her/her hybrid status being an issue. They get their 3rd bestie freed (her story was actually my favorite, #3 in this trilogy). We meet the alpha and fated mate for her in Book 1, he gets some land from the OG alpha, he is part of the government, and he puts those skills to the test to figure out who his mate is haha.
Thought the spicy scenes were good, it took awhile for the relationship to start building up, and the FMC again annoyed me and took me out of the story still but maybe only 30% of the time compared to the FMC in book one was like 75% of the time haha. I do wish we got more POVs from our yummy alpha but I liked his perseverance and strength but also moments of vulnerability. He was very stoic but wasn't giving up on her.
Narration was 4 stars, story was a 3.75 stars, so rounded up to a 4. Again I wish there had been some depth in this trilogy but we didnt get it (compared to the other ones I have listened to). This was an improvement to book 1 but still a lot of lost potential here.
Better than book 1!
