Enjoyed this book. Bottom line was that he encouraged people to maximize their enjoyment, which is a careful balance between spending and saving.

Different take on financial literature

Concise book with just enough information. Not directly a finance book, but rather a book on mindset about finances; the aspect not discussed much in financial reading.

Helpful, Informative, Concise and Engaging

Even more concise than Housel’s previous and excellent The Psychology of Money, The Art of Spending Money informs and questions decisions and strategies without preaching. A solid read for anyone looking to tweak or examine their relationship with money.
