There was a power beneath the water, something that called to the spirits that walked the land of the Marquil Property. Zia could feel it in her toes, running the length of her arms and releasing through the tips of her fingers. She could see the shadows that called out to her in the dead of night. Zia had been there before, if only in a dream; the man underneath the babbling, ice-cold springs had waited for her to return. Gideon Marquil was a man of his word, and he swore he would come back. As the waning moon began to hide behind its shroud of sleep, Gideon waited patiently for Zia to discover something so profoundly disturbing she may not ever want to escape.

The actress's voice was easy to listen to, and the book ends on a cliffhanger, which will leave you wanting more.
