The book gave me a better understanding of what Austria was like before and during World War Two.

Prewar Tension and love story

The different voice perspectives enhanced the story. The narrator voice did a great job with all characters. The story moves from love story to emotional drama and easily captured the tension and action of the prewar times in Austria.
