Former FBI Agent Tyler Maye is living in Arizona, now part of the new nation of Navajo. He’s working for a special law enforcement unit that has dispatched him to Colorado to investigate a series of deaths and disappearances in Pike National Forest. Maye visits the office of Sheriff Evans in Fairplay, Colorado to review the case files. David Collins, a young professional from Denver, is the first to go missing after a mountain bike ride in the forest. Other bodies are found in the park. Maye observes that the killer has left behind a scribbled letter “G” at each crime scene. Soon the mystery unravels, and Maye realizes he’s dealing with more than just a serial killer. He learns of ancient Native American entities and forces, such as skin-walkers, that have been banished to the forest for a very specific purpose. Maye must decide whether or not to unleash those ancient forces in order to save his friends who have been taken hostage by an old nemesis.
