Murder is on today’s menu—and Maple’s waffles are the prime suspect.

When venom-tongued food critic Felix Montclair drops dead at the Starfall Glen Food Festival, all eyes turn to the Waffle Wagon and its magically gifted owner, Maple Winslow.

Why Maple’s in hot syrup:

  • Felix’s last bite came from her griddle.

  • The town detective is certain the secret ingredient was cyanide.

  • Only Maple’s telepathic Tibetan Terrier, Pecan, believes in her innocence.

To clear her name she’ll have to batter down alibis, sift through festival rivalries, and serve the killer their just desserts—before she becomes the next item on the chopping block.

The Batter Witch Project is a laugh-out-loud culinary cozy packed with small-town charm, a dash of magic, a talking dog with plenty of sass, and zero on-page gore. Perfect for fans of Ellery Adams and Bailey Cates.

Listened to the 3rd book and it is another great little story. Maple is to have a great showing in a food contest until all goes sideways. Things with Maple and Jake are starting to come together. It has fun, laughter, a little romance and mystery involved, with a sweet dog named Pecan, which is telepathic. I recommend this book to read or listen to.
