The first volume in this series contains Old Testament notes by L.A.T. Van Dooren, the first principal of Capernwray Bible School in Northern England, and president of the worldwide branches of Capernwray for several years from 1975. This volume contains class notes given by 31 different lecturers. The lectures were often spread out over a number of weeks or even months. The longest series was given by Stuart Briscoe on the book of John in December, 1965 with a total of 17 lectures.Exegetical chapter by chapter and verse by verse studies of the Bible, were given, and a number of topics were covered, including Hands of the Skeptic, Student, Soul Winner, Speaker, Saint, Bible Background, Heresies, Islam, Church History, the Tabernacle, the Second Advent, Homiletics, the Bible and Science, Scriptural Evangelism, the Dead Sea Scrolls, missions, and more. The end of this volume includes L.A.T. Van Dooren’s correspondence course series called ‘Operation 27’ (27 books of the New Testament). You have in your hands a great bargain; namely, an inexpensive book that is actually the equivalent of three semesters of Bible school, which would otherwise require plenty of time and money! You’ve heard of “armchair” vacations, well this book is an “armchair” Bible School. Be blessed and enriched! Bible Study Bibles & Bible Study Christian Living Christianity New Testament
