It was supposed to be a vacation with my mother.
Now she isn't going and wants me to be her spy.
She needs dirt on a man I know next to nothing about.
But one look at him and I can't deny my attraction to him.
It is wrong to get involved with him but I can't help myself.
Being with my stepbrother will only end in disaster.
But I don't care.

Corey:
I'm not one who likes surprises.
But seeing my sexy as sin step sister sharing my room is a nice one.
The attraction we feel can not be denied.
We decide on a no-strings week.
And I have the time of my life.
But when the week is over, I want more.
Have I just fallen for the one woman I can and shouldn't have?

This is book 10 of The Billionaire's Series and a standalone. It is a romantic love story between step sibling's who were not raised together. I loved the chemistry between the main characters and the happy endings. I loved that the author writes characters that i pull me into the story.

🎧 Audiobook Review: The Billionaire’s Temptation by Ashley Sands
Narrated by: Dual Narration

This audiobook is a whirlwind of high-stakes romance tropes: forced proximity, step-siblings, one-sided enemies to lovers, billionaire drama, and a hostile takeover. It’s got all the ingredients for a juicy, tension-filled story but the execution didn’t quite land for me.

The male narrator was a standout. He wasconfident, well-paced, and emotionally grounded. His delivery added depth to the male lead and helped anchor the story. The female narrator, while pleasant in tone for the main character, struggled with pacing and emotional nuance in other voices. Her performance often felt rushed or overly scripted, which made it harder to connect with the emotional beats.

Narration tip: I sped up the playback slightly, and that helped smooth out the pacing. If you ever feel like a narrator’s rhythm is off, adjusting the speed can make a surprising difference.

As for the story itself, the spicy scenes were present, but they felt abrupt....like the emotional groundwork hadn’t quite been laid before diving in. I wanted more buildup, more tension, more time to sit in the characters’ feelings before the heat kicked in.

The female lead came across as passive, while the male lead bordered on pushy. Their dynamic had potential, especially with the layered tropes, but the emotional arc felt underdeveloped. I think this story might land better in print, where readers can linger in the tension and fill in the emotional gaps.

If you love bold tropes and strong male narration, this might still be worth a listen with a few tweaks. But for me, it was more of a near miss than a swoon.

I enjoyed this book. The premise was interesting and I liked the watching the heroine fall in love with the step brother she'd never met and was charged with spying on. The chemistry between Grace and Corey was immediate and very mutual. I liked seeing them get to know each other and how things worked out by the end with their parents. I also liked the parallel but very different relationships between Grace and her mom and Corey and his dad. By the end it was even more striking a divide. I listened to this book narrated by Blu Michaels and Matthew Astor and I thought both did good jobs bringing this story to life. This is my first book by this author and I would listen to more. This was also my first from these two narrators and I'm glad they narrated more of this series.
