Two student anatomists purchase the remains of humanity in the small hours of the morning. The shadowy men who bring the bodies seldom speak, and the suspicions of the students are never spoken aloud. Until one morning, when the drapery is lifted from the face of a new acquisition, and one student recognizes it as the face of a dear friend, alive and well only yesterday.

The narrator missed or changed a few words, some voices seemed a bit unnatural to me, but overall excellent.

Great storytelling! Nice performance.

This was an old classic that I very much enjoyed, for a book published in the 1880's you would think that the language would be very dated, but that is not the case with this offering, very easy to read and understand. I love reading some of these old classics, and for .99 cents for the Kindle book and another .80 cents for the audible version you can not go wrong...B.J. Harrison did a fine job of narrating.

Awesome Classic By RLS

Stevenson’s attention to detail added to the drama of his creepy stories. He portrayed the characters so well and showed how a basically good man could be seduced to do bad acts. The ending was a surprise.

The narrator did a masterful job of adding to the drama as well as doing great accents. Well done!

One of Robert Louis Stevenson’s best creepy storied
