Clark Voclain is a a skilled fire rescue officer and after finishing training at the Disaster City Search and Rescue Academy, he and his K9 partner are offered a permanent position. When they're assigned to help with a structure fire at the largest mall in all of Texas, he's surprised to find out that his high school crush is reported missing in the fire.

Roselyn Lewis just got the biggest modeling gig of her life, or so she thought until she showed up at the mall and realized she was just one of a dozen models hired to promote a new clothing line. She tries to make the best of the situation, but then a fire breaks out, trapping her inside. When a handsome rescue officer has to lead her to safety, she can’t help shake the feeling he seems familiar.

What will Roselyn do when she finds out about their past connection? Will Clark finally win the heart of the woman he's always secretly wanted? And will they be able to survive the fire that brought them back together?

I loved the character of Clark, so reticent and respectful. A man willing to work hard to accomplish his dreams. Little did he know his Dream Girl would be entering his life after a fire. After some time had passed, when they were able to see each other, there seemed to be an understanding and a connection between the two. She was glamorous and he was handsome. She was outgoing and he was more shy and unsure. It took an accident for her to realize his value and that she didn’t want anything or anyone else. Since Clark had had such a tough upbringing, I enjoyed the story ending, where the guy wins the girl and gets the benefit of her mother!
