For Izzy Graves, scrubbing blood out of bathroom tile is just another Tuesday.

Crime scene cleaning pays the bills, and Edgar—her pet rat—is the only one waiting when she gets home. And she’s fine with that.

Then her father dies—the Bone Collector, headline monster and part-time dad. His lawyer delivers a box: inside, a victim’s bone and a cryptic letter.

It’s the first clue in a gruesome hunt for more bones scattered across the city.

But Izzy isn’t the only one searching. A doomsday cult is on her heels, determined to reclaim the trophies and use them to summon a serpent god hungry for the end of the world.

Armed with nothing but her resting death face and a troop of misfit allies, Izzy has one last cleanup job: stop the cult before the world goes up in smoke.

Will she scrub away the apocalypse or just let Edgar eat popcorn while the world burns?

Either way, someone’s got to mop up the mess.

Perfect for fans of Grady Hendrix, Buffy the Vampire Slayer, Paul Tremblay, and fast-paced supernatural thrillers.

A weird unpredictable hip me modern thriller. A girl finds her dad is a serial killer and left her once last package. Naturally this leads her on a trail of cartoonish comedy minded far out cosmic horror. The book oozes personality with her work at a gore removal service or awkward sex club visits. I found it seemed to never go down a path of expected cliche and takes some amusingly far out turns. The narrator reads the material well with a urgent feminine professionalism that fits the material well. I might like to discuss the book more but better you go in blind.

So she has a wonderful group of friends. There are some twist and turns and surprises, and some betrayals. But I got totally engrossed in this book and it’s absolutely wonderful..
