When I got the title, I understood that it was read by a virtual voice, or AI generated text to Voice and decided to try the title anyway because I was intrigued by the title description.
The story was not disappointing. It had a good flow. The characters were captivating enough to want to continue, however, the author uses multiple languages in the story as it is set in Rome. The translations into Italian and Latin are awful. If the virtual voice could take into account the non-English portions, it would actually be a pleasant listen. The things in English flow really well but when it switches languages, it’s so hard listen to! If you are at all familiar with what it should sound like, it sounds butchered.
I did listen all the way through and I’m not sorry, but there were times it was a real struggle.
