This book is like choosing the middle path between Christianity and Satanism. It talks about El and Yahweh as being tyrants and despots demanding worship. It talks about the fall of the angels and their subsequent literal demonization. The book excels greatly in philosophy and it's clear the author meant well. Don't fall into conspiracies, don't attack your enemies with malice but try to win them over with reason these are the types of statements this book uses to explain a more balanced way of thought. My only criticism would be the orgy Jesus takes part in at the end: while I found some humor in the blunts and the debauchery many will be offended and perhaps in the long run it hurt the message however it contained some excellent turns of phrases that were useful for a good laugh. While it wasn't perfect I gave it five stars simply because others are giving it low ratings for no other reason than it hurts their religious sentiments

A rewriting of what happened in the Bible with an explicit emphasis on philosophy that empowers with reason.

Very enjoyable for me as someone recovering from religion. I love the way it's written like a religious text. It's full of good philosophy, and blasphemous humor.
