St. Teresa's (1515 - 1582) book of her foundations, is a historical account of the birth and development of her monastic order. Written by the saint herself, she gives her first-hand account of the trials and successes she had in spreading Catholic monasticism throughout Spain. The book is in a sense a sequel to her autobiographical, The Life which tells of her internal struggles to grow spiritually.

A classic of Catholic literature, this book gives a rare first-hand glimpse of the labors of one of Spain's most revered saints.

The reader does a very good job. One can hear the heart and love of St. Theresa in her voice. It is read prayerfully. I am grateful to all who produced this audiobook.

As for the text, it is underrated among Theresa’s works. I consider it a must read for any founder of a business or family. There is so much practical wisdom in this book, and the splendid order of a Catholic mind is on full display for us. Worth your credit and then some.

Beautifully done

Listen to the sample of the recording. The narrator's accent is tolerable for 4 minutes, but after a while, it gets very tiring after a while! Not only does the narrator have some kind of heavy southern (?) accent, but she also reads like she is languishing. Not for a book by Mother Teresa of Avila. It may be suitable for other books.

Spanish nun with a Southern accent?
