One moment she’s working as a fire captain alongside her husband in Boston, and the next, the building comes down on him, destroying both their lives. To make it even more tragic, she finds out a month after his death she’s pregnant with his child. Escape seems like the best option, so after the birth, she accepts a job as the head of the fire division for DCSRA only to find out her husband’s best friend, Carter, has a job at the academy, too.

What will happen when Carter and Nora are forced to work together? Will they finally give into the feelings that manifested during their loss? And will they be able to stop the arsonist who has followed them from Boston, set on revenge?

Good story, but virtual voice is lacking, Narration is flat and occasionally used the wrong word.

Burning Romance!

What a tragedy to live with for both Nora and Parker. They would have to learn together, how to overcome the nightmare and the loss. Faced with someone invading their lives, it is now critical to find this nuisance so they could find the whereabouts of HJ. I loved reading about the devotion that Parker had for Nora as well as the baby. Nora knew that Parker was a noble man with respect for her and integrity. Neither wanted to overstep, both filled with guilt. Thankfully, their love for each other, and HJ, was what mattered to them both.

The story

I didn’t like how the virtual voice didn’t play the characters realistically. It’s just one voice reading.
