It was supposed to be simple—dinner with my best friend’s little brother as a favor. No big deal, right?

Wrong.

That lanky boy I remember from our college graduation is nowhere to be found. When I meet him at his sister’s apartment, I’m facing a sexy, broad-shouldered, absolutely gorgeous man. And we’re supposed to spend the evening together. Maybe have a drink. And then go home. Separately.

Instead, I take Mason home. And although he’s moved halfway across the country, we’ve spoken every day since. He’s never let me forget the amazing night we shared—the night that never should have happened.

As if I ever could.

Fast forward a few months to a trip out west to a music festival—my surprise gift for my bestie’s birthday. But apparently, this trip isn’t the only surprise this weekend.

Mason is here. He still wants more—he still wants me. His sister has no idea that her little brother and I have become...something. Something I’ve spent months running from. Something I can’t deny.

I’ve fallen for my best friend’s little brother.

But how do I make my head and my heart stop feeling like he’s the boy I shouldn’t want?

Mason is the guy Sadie shouldn't want. He is younger and her friend's little brother, but that doesn't stop them from falling for each other hard and fast.

I liked this novella being dual POV. Things move so quickly between Mason and Sadie that it helped to see the emotion and attraction from each of them. It was nice that Mason was very direct on what his feelings were and how much he cared for.

Sadie's friendship with Autumn was another part of the book I enjoyed. They spend a lot of time together as the story progessed and I could see how much the friendship means to each of them. They care about each other so much and Sadie doesn't want to hurt Autumn when she reveals her relationship with Mason.

If you are looking for a fun, low -angst story this is a great pick. I enjoyed the narration and thought they were perfect for the characters. It is part of a series written by multiple authors but is a standalone. I haven't read any of the other books and didn't feel lost at all.

I read this story months ago and enjoyed it. I love a BFF brother story and this was no different. You could hear the emotion in Stella Hunter’s voice with her struggling between following her heart and her loyalty to her best friend.
Jason Clarke was the perfect voice for Mason. There were time his voice made my toes curl. Mason is such a sweet character and how he follows his heart with Sadie changing his schedule around to see her is awesome. I love a good HEA

I loved that this was a duet

This story has it all packed into a novella. The “boy next door” who is the brother of her best friend.

The guy is five years younger than the FMC & his sister but the sister has been a caretaker to the brother since he was five and she was ten so they have a super tight bond.

I really liked how the characters clicked instantly and dated long distance even if they didn’t call it that. They fell head over heels for each other before they could tell his sister which bothered both of them.

I liked the sister’s reaction once the secret was finally unveiled though lol! This book was a lot of fun

This gem was narrated by Stella Hunter and Jason Clarke both of whom are favorites of mine

Cute, Fun, Flirty, Sexy
