Great story multigenerational saga about that amazing place known as Africa.

Liked it all except maybe the author’s lame understanding of true Christianity and real faith in our Creator.

Engaging & fascinating tale!

Great, unpredictable story of early African history of the Boers and the English.
Narrator has an amazing grasp of the accents involved.
Highly recommended!

Poor man’s Wilbur Smith

Basically, this book is trying to portray a “ Courtenay Family” saga, but just misses on so many fronts. Everything is just a bit thin on detail and atmosphere.

Boring & slow.

Moved slow and found it boring. Thought I’d was going to be more interesting. It wasn’t.
