Great book and great performance. Horror fans rejoice for this book is creepy and has tons of tension.

Short Story

This is a great book to listen to or read. It is short great to turn on auto while you are going to work or heading home. It is about 2 hours long, but it has death, an unknown voice, and a family.

Great read!

This was a great read from beginning to end. Classic horror reminiscent of Steven King. It kept me on the tips of my toes almost knowing what was coming but not quite. Very enjoyable but also introspective. The book forces you to look within yourself and recognize many of your own flaws. Overall very well done Mr. Tobi. Thanks!

Vivid Imagery

Once a happy husband and father, James suffers a tragedy that no person should have to experience. Being haunted by a shadowy figure that lurks everywhere until he can no longer escape the clutches of this festering parasite of a being.

S. C. Tobi, the author carefully weaves a story that is dark and suspenseful with a horror that is unique. The horror James experiences are horrifying and will leave you, the listener, deeply affected. Her character development is well done. The plot twist is not only surprising but soul-damaging. The violence in this book is carefully presented but if you have experienced a violent loss, listen to this with care. It is more than an emotional roller coaster; it goes much deeper.

The narrator, Jason Kaye is perfect for this book. He projected a wide range of emotions in an authentic manner that made it sound as if he himself were experiencing them. He kept the book moving forward at a steady pace and spoke clearly.

This is an interesting mind-challenging book that when the plot twist hits, you are not prepared. The other viewpoint it shares on grief and depression is relatable.

There were no issues with the production or quality of this audiobook.
