Heartwarming story, love it!

This is a story about love and chivalry for a young boy toward his mother intervening and protecting her from mistakes thus earning her lifelong gratitude and affection.

Breathtaking story and writing.

Stefan Zweig’s storytelling and psychological depth in this novels are once again unsurpassed. I wish the reader had taken the trouble to learn the correct pronunciation of the few French words used.
