Book 1 of a Classic Ghost Story Series.
Based on the short story "Cabin Fever" from the book, Short Stories and Tall Tales!

This book was written more like a ghost mystery story with a touch of humor. It's not a horror/thriller but a story where the characters are developed enough that you feel you know them. It's a classic story of two couples getting lost in a snowstorm, getting invited into a very old cabin which just so happens to have plenty of firewood, but no food.

Luckily, Jake, his wife, and his friends brought their own food and supplies because they are amateur survivalists. They are invited by a ghost they think is only a strange lonely old man. They hunker down in a very old cabin for a week, until the snow stops.

After a week, they are rescued by the local sheriff who has been rescuing stranded folks in that cabin for years, With each story Ira Thomas Roark tells, there seems to be a coincidence that the same sounds from his stories begin to happen in real-time which makes his stories even more realistic. The last story old Ira Thomas Roark tells the four is of the loot buried there. Once Jake finds out from the sheriff that old Ira was really a ghost, will it scare him off? Or drive him back to find the treasure in the spring? Will everything Jake does help old Ira Thomas Roark find eternal peace? If so, how much of Jake's life and many others change because of it? Read the story, enjoy the adventure!

Just remember, you do not have to believe in ghosts to fall in love with Ira Thomas Roark, the storytelling ghost!
