John Sullivan has left Pharmaceutical Importers of America (PIA) to join his sidekick former detective Denzel Morgan to form an LLC of Sullivan & Morgan Legal Compliance and Investigations. John cashed out his PIA stock options for a cool $8.1 million to fund the new venture.

A class action lawsuit is filed against the entire poultry industry alleging conspiratorial actions to fix prices and suppress wages throughout the country. John and Denzel are retained by Givadaun Poultry to serve as General Counsel and Investigator to defend the Company.

The lawsuits are filed in the middle of the largest acquisition Givadaun has every attempted. The financial strain on the owner, Carolyn Givadaun Hamilton and her little brother Donnie is palpable. A finding of culpability against the Company could undermine the acquisition and send them into bankruptcy.

A group of industry antagonists were encircling Givadaun to see if their agenda for animal rights and vegan could likewise be served. The Department of Justice and Department of Labor were dancing on the fringes as the antagonistic unions drooled over the chaos.

Solid story line, but narration made it a tough listen.

Interesting details in this corporate espionage story. Just wish I had read the hard copy, rather than listening to the audible.
I don’t know if the narration was AI-generated or a real human, but the intonation, phrasing and mispronunciations are cringe.
