I live for sugar!

I try to limit my intake but that’s my business. If the government were to get involved? I’d have issues, too!

This is a timely story about what we’re willing to give up, and what we’re willing to do to when backed up against the wall.

Intriguing premise that kept me enthralled too the finish. Highly recommend! Well done Claire Wade!

More about the idea...

I realized about 30 minutes in that I was still listening to a trip to the grocery store, and I was not bored. Unfortunately, the author spends so much time describing all the restrictions (in scene, and done so well) that character development (other than the MC) and plot suffers.

The audio performance was good but Oliva was so often terrified, anxious, nervous, etc. that the timorous, fear-filled narration was tiresome and unpleasant. Wish the audio performer had toned it down.

If you are a fan of dystopias, you might give it a go. Otherwise, skip it.
