Christmas Romance

The Christmas Date by Cortney Murchie was okay. I liked the beginning of the story. Then it went to the typical misunderstanding that might break them up. I’m tired reading these types of romances. It does end with a happily ever after though.

Megan Molly did a pretty good job narrating. Whoever edited it, however, kept starting the next chapter right on top of the previous chapter with no pause in between.

The narration was fantastic, engaging, expressive, and perfectly matched to the tone of the story. It made the whole experience even more enjoyable.

The Christmas Date is an adorable, feel-good holiday romance that delivers exactly what I want this time of year. Snowy vibes, cozy small-town charm, and a couple with chemistry you can’t help rooting for. Cortney Murchie blends humor, warmth, and just the right touch of holiday magic to make this a super bingeable read.

After a breakup, Carys turns to online dating, where she finds Ollie. Their banter is hilarious, their chemistry is sizzling, and the way they navigate misunderstandings feels real and heartfelt. Plus who doesn’t love a man who also loves to read?!
I loved watching their relationship unfold and how they maneuvered through misunderstandings. It’s sweet, funny, and completely satisfying.

Short but cute Christmas story

I had just finished an audiobook that took me about a month to finish (I only listen while driving) so this was a nice change of pace with a shorter story. Just when you think you know what’s going to happen, the author changes it up a bit. I was shocked when the author showed up with just enough spice to catch you off guard. Perfect romance novella around the holiday season. I hope everyone gets their Ollie!

Ollie and Carys’s story was emotional, sweet, and beautiful. The heat and chemistry between them once they fell for each other was the icing on the cake.
