I love that there was a story line within each book that connected them.

I love the books and the series. Each character has a separate actor so it is so easy to listen too

Great story

I really enjoyed this book series! I love a good story on top of the romance. It was also great to hear each character in different voices.

Good Narration, Very Good Storyline

It took me a few books into the series to really appreciate the writing. I enjoy the varied POV changes throughout, telling the same story through a different lens, keeping me interested enough to weather the cliche romance moments of the first few books. The relationships between friends, family, and romantic partners are well-developed, and the dramatic moments in the books pulled me in as a reader (listener). Publishing the series was not just a way to get raunchy scenes on paper; it has an interesting plot to engage me even without the steamy bedroom scenes, which I appreciate. Each book leads into the next romantic entanglement seamlessly, and the crime and family drama plays out effortlessly throughout as well.

Lauren Blakely is such a talented author. I think she really shines with longer, interconnected stories too. Her Men of Summer series is one of my all-time favorite series.
This series was a little bit of a departure from her usual, which was cool. It was (of course) romance, but with mystery and murder and crime woven in. It really kept the reader guessing too.
This series MUST be read in order and MUST be listened to/read as a whole (though book 5 is kind of optional, really).
