Dahteste is back! After receiving accolades and commendation for her work in capturing wildlife violators, she was requested by another regional wildlife manager to help solve a poaching case involving condors. A young game ranger has already lost his life in pursuit of the culprits. Elias agrees to help.

The poachers are organized and work in an outright bold manner that has never been seen before. Local law enforcement has no answers. Without regard for human life, the poachers will do whatever it takes to capture their prize.

As they delve further into their investigation, aided by an experienced game ranger, it only becomes increasingly dangerous. They endure a few harrowing encounters, but the poachers keep slipping away. Their time as well as their luck may run out before the poachers slip away forever.
