Grace wants to set off on a great adventure.

March 1944, the US has been in war for two and a half years, preparing for the great invasion to Europe. Grace, a twenty-three-year-old intern nurse from Chicago, chooses to enlist to the army. She wants to take part in the war in Europe. She doesn’t want to stay home behind.
In Chicago, back home, she only has a drunk dad and a mom who works from dawn till dusk, and Grace wants more than that, she wants to be a part of the war, she wants to save lives.
Leaving her house behind, Grace boards a train that will take her to New York Harbor and the convoy of ships that will take her across the Atlantic to Europe and the war.
In her voyage, Grace will turn into a soldier who understands the power of war and the magnitude of the mission she faces.
