How the movies chopped up and shortened the book.

The book is extremely long, but I knew it when I was young. This reading was no different. Dumas was very detailed. It would be very easy to give up listening, much less reading.

The shortening and having Edmund Dantes and Mercedes having a child that he meets 25 years later after his false arrest does work for me as well.

Adventure!

Good narration, good story. It was very entertaining and didn’t take as long to read as I thought.

The performance is terrible

There are errors throughout, pronunciation is off, one of the worst I’ve ever heard. May you find a better version.

Horrible narration

Terrible narration! Do not but this version. It’s boring and horrible. It is also a replica of the original! Amazon should remove it!

bad narrator, awesome tale

I couldn't bear with the boring narration. I stopped whilst jailed on Difficult. I went with the unabridged w/a much livlier voice.
