As the villagers embrace the Christian faith, Eadric forms an unlikely bond with Lord Eadric, the village’s namesake and nobleman, who begins to question his own beliefs. The story captures his eventual transformation, culminating in his baptism during the monks’ first Easter celebration in the village. Inspired by his faith, Lord Eadric proposes the construction of a grand stone church—a symbol of the community’s growing devotion.
