She rules the night like a velvet-wrapped blade…
…until one human man makes the Cursed Vampire Queen remember how to feel.

The Cursed Vampire Queen’s Harem is a dark, seductive reverse harem vampire romantasy set in smoky, jazz-soaked 1950s New York, where power is currency, secrets are weapons, and love is strictly forbidden.

By midnight, Vivienne Noir is known only as The Velvet Queen—the woman who owns the city’s most exclusive nightclubs, gambling rooms, and backroom deals. Humans whisper her name with fear and awe, never guessing the truth: the beautiful crime boss who smiles over their whiskey is a centuries-old vampire queen bound by deadly laws.

At her side stand four supernatural guardians—an exiled Nephilim, a ruthless alpha shifter, a charming warlock, and a razor-edged dhampir. They are her swords and shields, sworn to protect her empire and the throne she carved from blood and velvet. In this slow-burn reverse harem vampire romantasy, their loyalty hides simmering attraction, unspoken devotion, and a dangerous desire they all know can never fully be claimed.

Then Vivienne slips into a rival jazz club and hears him.

A haunted pianist with war in his eyes and heartbreak in his hands plays like he’s trying to bleed his soul through the keys. One song is all it takes to fracture the icy distance she’s maintained for centuries. What begins as a predator’s curiosity becomes something far more dangerous—an emotional pull she cannot control and a human man she should never want.

As a ruthless Syndicate moves to seize her territory, the Velvet Queen is forced into a vicious shadow war for New York’s underworld. Every attack tightens the noose around her empire. Every stolen moment with the pianist tightens the noose around her heart. Caught between ancient vampire law, mafia ambition, and the possessive devotion of her supernatural harem, Vivienne must decide which is more lethal:

  • Breaking the rules that keep her people safe
  • Or breaking the only human who’s ever seen the woman beneath the crown

If she chooses wrong, she could doom her city, her guardians, and the man who makes her feel alive again.

This slow-burn reverse harem vampire romantasy is perfect for readers who love:

  • Powerful, morally gray vampire heroines who own the room
  • Four protective supernatural love interests with claws, fangs, and feelings
  • Forbidden attraction between an immortal queen and a fragile human man
  • Mafia intrigue, smoky jazz clubs, and lush gothic atmosphere
  • High-stakes emotion, late reveals, and binge-worthy tension from page one

If you’re craving a lush, dangerous reverse harem vampire romantasy filled with smoky jazz, sharp teeth, found family, and a queen who will burn the world rather than bow, step into Vivienne Noir’s empire and let The Velvet Queen claim you.

ill start with the performance. I forgot I was listening to an Ai voice. the real issue was the lack of difference in voices across characters. otherwise the voice and cadence was fine.

overall the story was good. I liked the concept and the MFC and MMC. both had depth and purpose. the only gripe I have is idk if it fits a reverse Harem. I dont mind the lack of spice. I think the story benefited for it. there were protector characters but the story didn't lean towards multiple loves or romances. there was some pining by one male side character but there is no reciprocating feelings.

lastly I think the story was engaging but a little repetitive in the middle. I would recommend this book

I enjoyed the story
