Could not put it down

Im hooked. The most unique storyline I have ever encountered! Intriguing characters. A must read/listen. I am eagerly awaiting the third installment !

Say no to AIs as narrators (virtual voice)

This could have been an excellent listen but for the virtual voice. It was so flat, like listening to my Roman History professor reading his lecture notes. If the story had not held me, I would not have finished the book. So much nuance and depth is lost without a human narrator: distinguishing between characters, regional accents, emotions!

Never again! Audible needs to rerelease this book with a human narrator. Any of us avid customers could do a better job.

I had to try it though because of all the attention AIs are getting, but just like all the other AI tools this one cannot ever compare to what our humanity brings. I’ve heard some poor human narrators on Audible books, and while I was frustrated by their mispronunciations or failure to create consistent character distinctions. Bless their hearts.

All Action

Book one had more story, with good mix of adventure. Book two will make action-junkies happy.

AI sucks!

great story but it needed different voice tones for different characters. a human actor would have made all the difference and made this a much better experience. great story though

Even more confusing than book one

Of course this book ended on a cliffhanger as well. More questions than answers at the end. Now there’s aliens??
