'The Dark King' by Graham McNeill

The acts of terror and warmongering by Konrad Curze, Primarch of the Night Lords Legion, have earned the ire of his brother primarch, Rogal Dorn. Wracked by terrible visions of the future, Curze is driven insane and attacks Dorn, setting the Night Lord on an inexorable course towards eternal damnation.

'The Lightning Tower' by Dan Abnett

Rogal Dorn, Primarch of the Imperial Fists Legion, faces a stark reality - he must tear down the magnificence of the Emperor's Palace, a shining beacon in a galaxy of darkness, and turn it into a fortress. With the army of Horus drawing ever closer, as he blights the Palace with gunports and defence towers, Dorn must face a difficult question: 'What are you afraid of?'

Have to say these are two of the best if not the best Horus Heresy short stories written. The narration was amazing along with the sound effects. Highly recommend. ⚔

loved every second, great performance and story, if you like a humanized primarchs Dorm will satisfy, and if you want to dig in deeper into night lords, this is the culmination

Fear him, for he is the night haunter

I'm giving it a 4 since Dan Arnett wrote the 2nd story. He's also writing the final book in the siege if terra. I'm hoping the Dorn thing ties back in, if it doesn't then I would re-rate this as a 3 star.

depends

the first story was pretty bland. the lightning Tower is definitely the highlight here. still not sure if it's worth an audible credit.
