Greek mythology has portrayed Medea as an evil enchantress who first helps Jason and the Argonauts steal the Golden Fleece, and then uses her magic to seduce Jason into marriage. The Dawn Palace is Medea’s story, elegantly rethought and retold by award-winning author Helen M. Hoover.

What an interesting retelling of the old myth! It’s a little different from the Euripides play, but I liked the changes. The story kind of drags in places, and the narrator’s delivery is a little robotic. But overall, it’s definitely worth a listen.

Very interesting!

I didn’t expect to like this story as much as I did but it was excellent! Never a dull moment and I LOVE these women/Goddess that don’t take any crap from anyone and stand up for themselves.
