Margot’s paintings are not just art, they are predictions of the end of the world. Few believe her, but within months, her visions will become a terrifying reality. The book of Revelation’s prophecies are about to come true, and the forces of darkness are gathering under the guise of a man of peace. Margot, gifted with divine prophecy, must navigate a world of skepticism and doubt as she tries to warn others of the coming Tribulation.

When Dylan discovers Margot’s prophecies and joins her in a dangerous mission to thwart the forces of evil, his life is forever changed. Both have rejected their faith, but as people begin disappearing and chaos descends upon the world, they realize their mistake.

As Margot’s art reveals the future and leads them through a world shaken by the apocalypse, they face an adversary determined to stop them at any cost—the Antichrist and his minions of evil.

For fans of spiritual thrillers like Left Behind and This Present Darkness, this gripping series will keep you on the edge of your seat until the very end.

I liked the story line. It was thrilling and easy to get to know the characters.

I just could not finish the book. The story line is great. But the voice of the narrator hits me like nails on a chalkboard. Just could not listen anymore.

I cannot get past this first book and I so want to hear the whole series. THAT NARRATOR! I'm sorry, he's the worst

Pretty awesome storyline

After finishing the Apocalypse Mission series (the follow-up series to Days of the Apocalypse) I thought I'd enjoy this series as well. It's fortuitous that I enjoyed the Apocalypse Mission series first, as that good experience was the only thing that kept me from abandoning The Day the End Began midway due entirely to the truly insufferable narration. After verifying that the subsequent books in this series have a different and exceedingly better narrator, I elected to persevere.
Aside from the ruinous narration, the premise and structure of The Day the End Began are engaging with mostly interesting characters. Although similar to the Apocalypse Mission series, this story is told from the different perspectives and situations of another group of characters who present their own interesting story arc even while sharing the same stage of events as the subsequent Apocalypse Mission series. This would have been a 4 or 5-star book with a better narrator.

3 Stars Due to Ruinous Narration

I'd love to hear the next book, but please get a new narrator for the future. It was pretty hard to get going because the narrator sounded like a kid trying to read a serious book... this series deserves someone who can bring the listener into the gravity of the situation, and the characters to life.

Good story, needs a new narrator
