Adelaide Barlow, a mute artist, has always found solace in her art and the quietness of her rural life. Orphaned and isolated by her silence, she never expected her world to change. That is until she is commissioned to paint for the mysterious Earl of Carenwood…

Alexander Caldwell, Earl of Carenwood, once full of life, now lives in solitude, his heart sealed after an accident left him deaf and took his father’s life. Burdened by guilt, he hides away from society until Adelaide’s arrival sparks something he thought was long lost…

As their bond deepens, they must face the dangers threatening them, including betrayal from those closest to Alexander. Can they overcome their pasts and the forces working against them, or will silence and secrets tear them apart?

"The Deaf Earl's Silent Love" is a historical romance novel of approximately 60,000 words. No cheating, no cliffhangers, and a guaranteed happily ever after.

An excellent story of two people with physical problems who work hard to overcome them. The virtual voice takes away from the experience.

The recuuring theme in these kinds of stories is the wishy washy heroine or hero. Didn’t these people have backbone. I assume the author has done the research and so this kind of behavior was the norm in the times most of these books were based. However at some point some of them had enough spirit to thumb their nose at society. It’s too bad it didn’t happen earlier.
