The book is a spin off but it sets you right back from
The beginning of the first book. This book never missed a beat as to who is who and how they got to this place. The author set you right there in the front row of a movie. This need to be a movie

Struggling through this one.......

Africa has 54 countries. it's not a single homogeneous place. The "African" accents are cringe. And the main female character is all over the place to the point where it's not cute anymore. And the drama around the kidnapping was difficult to follow. Timelines between events are not clear. The scenes kept jumping forward ⏩.
